I am extremely proud to serve as the Principal at Shenandoah Middle School!  My goal for each student is that he or she has a great educational experience while attending our school.  With a wide variety of curricular and extra curricular options, I firmly believe that Shenandoah Middle School is one of the premier schools in the state.

A little about myself...I have been blessed with a beautiful family consisting of my wife Sarah (who teaches 2nd grade at SES), my daughter Sadie (a current 7th grader at SMS), and my son Seth (a current 3rd grader at SES).  I have resided in Henry County my entire life as I grew up in and graduated from New Castle in 1994.  I received my Bachelor's degree from Ball State and began teaching middle school math at Lincoln Middle School in Cambridge City in 1999.  In 2002, I was fortunate enough to be hired to teach at Shenandoah Middle School and worked in the corporation for 15 years as a teacher and coach.  After pursuing my Administrator's license and Master's Degree from Indiana Wesleyan, I spent 7 years at Tri Jr/Sr High School as a building administrator.  I was hired as Principal at SMS in January of 2024.

I love this learning community and strive to make it a wonderful place for children to learn and grow!

If I can ever be of assistance, please never hesitate to reach me via phone (765-354-6638) or email (swidner@shenandoah.k12.in.us).
