Meet the Assistant Principal
Mrs. Helman is a 2001 graduate of Shenandoah High School. After high school, she attended Anderson University and earned her Bachelor Degree in Marketing. After working in corporate sales and assisting the Shenandoah High School softball team, Mrs. Helman decided to pursue her teaching license and enrolled in the Transition to Teaching program at Indiana Wesleyan University. Mrs. Helman taught 6th grade Math for Shenandoah Middle School for 8 years, then moved into the Dean of Students/Athletic Director position at the middle school. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership through Western Governors University, Mrs. Helman entered her current role as Assistant Principal of Shenandoah High School and Shenandoah Middle School.
Mrs. Helman and her husband, Justin, have 2 children, Jarrett and Reid, who both attend Shenandoah. In her spare time, Mrs. Helman enjoys watching her kids play sports, working out, and curling up with a good book.
